Benefits of Weights and Resistance Training for Women

Weight lifting is wonderful. My weapon of choice going against fat-loss with combined with clean eating and maintaining a calorie deficit. It helped me lose 105 lbs. and my body looks better than ever before when I only did cardio. Adding extra muscle on your body increases your metabolism. Every day, you burn an extra 50 calories per lbs of muscle that you put on your body ...that means your body is more forgiving when you eat more. When I say naked calories I'm talking about carbohydrate snacks, which contain large amounts of refined sugars and starches, typically promote a sudden rise in blood sugar levels and providing the body with an immediate source of energy and very few nutrients. This sudden rise in blood sugar is known as an "insulin spike," which shortly follows this reaction, rapidly lowers the blood sugar levels and results in cravings for more sugary foods and generally causing fatigue, dizziness, nervousness and headaches.
